Your support means the world to us, and this year, the Rougemont Ruritan Club could truly use your help. Whether you’ve been with us for years or are just getting to know our club, your involvement matters.
In 2024, the Rocky Mount-Durham District made a remarkable impact:
- $471,039.62 was returned to people in need across North Carolina
- 39,880 volunteer hours were given back to the community
- 72 scholarships were awarded, totaling $107,600
And these figures only represent half of the 16 clubs in our district—more results are still coming in! It’s clear: the Ruritans are leading the way, and we’re proud to be part of the #1 service club in the United States.
I can’t say enough about our dedicated volunteers—your hard work and heart make everything we do possible. You’re making a real difference right here in Rougemont and beyond. Thank you!

History of Ruritan
The first Ruritan Club was started in 1928 in Holland Virginia. Now, the Ruritan has grown to become “America’s Leading Community Service Organization.”
The Ruritan Mission: Ruritan is a national organization dedicated to improving communities and building a better America through Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service.
The Rougemont chapter of Ruritan tries to access the needs of our community to offer assistance through fellowship, goodwill and service.
